Warming up for Christmas/Part 2

10:03 AM

As I told you last week, I made some headbands to be sold at Christmas market organized in my daughter's nursery school to raise funds. I was super inspired and decided to draw some illustrations to show how I made them (let’s call it a Tutorial).

This tutorial is in toddler size, but you just have to cut the biggest piece longer to make it in any other size:

You only need some fabric scraps and some time (you can finish it in 30’), I worked in an assembly-line-mode for an afternoon and sewed 12 of them...

I think they are a great project to use some fabric scraps or make an headband that matches a dress:

They are addictive and have that fifties flair…

Danno dipendenza e hanno quell'aria così anni ’50…

  3. This is great!!! Did you use regular cotton, or a cotton knit fabric?

    1. Regular cotton! I suppose that if you use knits you don't need to add elastic!

  4. It doesn't show how to attach the bow?
I tried tying it around the premade headband but it it much too small. I measured it all correctly.

    1. Yes, it's just a knot. Maybe you used a larger seam allowance to sew the bow piece?
